On the morning of December 14, the opening ceremony of the 2024 Academic Conference on Engineering Thermodynamics and Energy Utilization of Chinese Society of Engineering Thermophysics was successfully held in Xiamen International Convention Center Hotel. The conference was organized by the Chinese Society of Engineering Thermophysics, hosted by Xiamen University, and supported by the Engineering Science Division of the National Natural Science Foundation of China.
At the opening ceremony, Xiamen University leadership, president of the Chinese Society of Engineering Thermophysics Jin Hongguang and the Chinese Society of Engineering Thermophysics director of the Branch of thermodynamics Yang Yongping addressed the opening ceremony by Xiamen University Professor Zhao Yingru presided over. The invited presentations were hosted by Academician He Yaling of Xi 'an Jiaotong University and Professor Duan Yuanyuan of Tsinghua University. Academician Yan Jinyue of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Academician Zheng Nanfeng of Xiamen University, Professor Wang Ruzhu of Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Professor Song Yongchen of Dalian University of Technology were invited as special guests to deliver speeches entitled "Interdisciplinary Science Contributes to Energy Transformation: Academic reports on "Creating the Future Together", "Supporting high-quality Development of Hydrogen Energy Industry with Basic Research", "Cross-research of Energy-water-air Based on Adsorption", and "Theory and Technology of carbon dioxide Storage and Utilization".
